Joe is currently a senior offensive defenseman at Edina High School. Edina is widely considered the top team in Minnesota this season. In recent years the Fighting Sioux have recruited more offensive defensemen to go along with their rich tradition of bruisers.
Joe is expected to come to UND in 2008 or 2009. The Fighting Sioux may need to bring in up to 3 defenders for the 2008 season. If Joe were to come in 2008 it would be straight out of High School, which is very difficult in the WCHA. Need may necessitate his arrival in 2008, but if that need does not arise, expect him to play a year in the USHL and then arrive in 2009.
